Description
Normally Open Magnetic Reed Switch
A Normally Open (NO) Magnetic Reed Switch is a type of electrical switch that uses a magnetic field to open and close the switch contacts. The switch contacts are normally open, meaning that they are not in contact with each other. The circuit is not complete. When a magnetic field is applied to the switch, the contacts are drawn together. Closing the circuit and completing the flow of electricity. Once the magnetic field is removed, the switch contacts return to their normally open position. This breaks the circuit and stopping the flow of electricity.
Normally Open Magnetic Reed Switches are commonly used in a wide variety of applications such as security systems, door and window sensors, flow meters, and other applications where the presence or absence of a magnetic field needs to be detected. They are small, have low power consumption and are relatively inexpensive, which makes them an attractive option for many applications.
